Drop Talk 2026

FLO Bangalore, under the leadership of Chairperson Deepa Boopesh Reddy, participated in DropTalk 2026, reflecting the chapter’s growing commitment to sustainability, climate resilience, and policy advocacy. The opportunity emerged through an engaging interaction between President Deepa Boopesh Reddy, Legal Vertical Head Indira, Executive Secretary Rachana Reddy, and noted public policy expert, economist, and politician Prof. Rajeev Gowda. This exchange led to meaningful introductions to FluxGen and Nadhi–SheForClimate, organisations dedicated to advancing a water-positive future through innovation, advocacy, and community engagement.

Recognising the importance of water security as a critical social, environmental, and economic issue, FLO Bengaluru joined the summit to engage with leaders from industry, government, academia, research institutions, civil society, and sustainability sectors. The platform enabled members to participate in thought-provoking discussions on water sustainability, climate adaptation, governance frameworks, and community-led solutions.

A key highlight was the Women in Water session, organised in collaboration with Nadhi–SheForClimate, which brought together women leaders, practitioners, and advocates to explore the role of women in shaping sustainable water ecosystems. The session functioned as a collaborative working lab, encouraging participants to identify existing gaps in policy, implementation, and grassroots participation while collectively exploring practical and scalable solutions.

The discussions reinforced the importance of women’s leadership in water stewardship and climate resilience, recognising women as primary custodians of water resources within families and communities. Participants examined opportunities for cross-sector partnerships, stronger engagement with government agencies, and innovative approaches to sustainability challenges.

Through its participation, FLO Bengaluru strengthened its footprint within the sustainability ecosystem and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering informed leadership, meaningful advocacy, and collaborative action toward building resilient and inclusive water futures.
