FLO Health, Wellness, and Life Skills Initiative

Building Healthy, Emotionally Resilient, and Financially Independent Women-Led Communities Across India

Overview

The FLO Health, Wellness, and Life Skills Initiative is a national initiative for advancing women’s holistic well-being, preventive healthcare, emotional resilience, and economic self-reliance. Recognizing that health and life skills are the foundational pillars of true empowerment, the initiative bridges urban expertise with grassroots needs across FLO chapters.

By establishing strategic alliances with leading hospitals, medical institutions, mental health experts, and skill-development organizations, FLO transitions women and marginalized communities from passive healthcare seekers to empowered, self-reliant individuals.

Objective

To build a sustainable national ecosystem that delivers accessible preventive healthcare, fosters mental resilience, and imparts employable vocational and life skills to women and underserved communities—enabling them to break structural barriers, achieve financial independence, and lead healthier, dignified lives.

Key Focus Areas

Mental Wellness & Emotional Resilience

Hosting expert-led masterclasses on emotional resilience, mindfulness, self-awareness, and gratitude featuring spiritual leaders, psychologists, and thought leaders. Utilizing Sound and Music Therapy, Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, and gut-health workshops to foster holistic healing and stress reduction.

Preventive Healthcare & Medical Outreach

Conducting free health check-up camps, free vision screenings, and diagnostic blood tests in rural and underserved areas. Delivering early screening and awareness drives for breast and cervical cancer, menstrual hygiene, and menopausal care.

Vocational Training & Livelihood Enablement

Equipping women with income-generating crafts including mehendi artistry, beautician services, embroidery, handicrafts, and food processing (e.g., pickle-making, natural farming). Training women and educators in income-generating skills to bridge the gap between youth training and active employment. Building essential non-cognitive competencies, including critical thinking, clear communication, personal governance, and crisis management for emerging women leaders.
