Youth Leadership Program: Graduation Ceremony & Industry Connect Visit

FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Amulya Rao, through its Wellness & Life Skills Initiative, attended the Youth Leadership Program (YLP) Graduation Ceremony held at the Greater Chennai Corporation Community College, Bheemannapet. The programme was organised by Toastmasters International in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Madras East and Unite for Good.

The event celebrated the successful completion of communication and leadership training by 25 paramedical students. Designed to enhance confidence, public speaking abilities, interpersonal communication, and leadership skills, the programme equipped participants with competencies that are increasingly valued in professional healthcare environments.

Recognising the importance of bridging the gap between education and employment, FLO Chennai facilitated an industry connect component as part of the visit. The Nursing Head from Apollo Shine was invited to observe the graduating students and gain insights into their preparedness for potential roles within the healthcare sector. This interaction created an opportunity for students to showcase their skills and understand industry expectations.

FLO Chennai was represented by Ms. Jyothi Thomas, Vertical Head of the Wellness & Life Skills Initiative, and Ms. Harsha Sajnani Ganeriwala, Co-Vertical Head. Their participation reinforced FLO’s commitment to youth development, employability enhancement, and community engagement.

Discussions during the visit focused on the importance of communication skills in healthcare professions, where effective patient interaction, teamwork, empathy, and professionalism are critical.
