FLO Pune’s Textile Vertical Leads, Pooja Chheda and Snehal Panchal, have personally engaged with rural women, guiding them through the enrollment process and helping them register for vocational textile-related courses (WUD).
20 women from Pimpri Sandas village have been enrolled in WUD-certified programs covering Merchandising & Branding, Colour & Design, and Mending & Upcycling. These courses will equip participants with industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills applicable to textile production, product development, and entrepreneurship.
* Merchandising & Branding will help women understand product positioning, marketing, customer engagement, and brand building, enabling them to create and market their own products effectively.
* Colour & Design will enhance their creative and technical understanding of colour combinations, aesthetics, trends, and design principles, improving the quality and appeal of textile products.
* Mending & Upcycling will promote sustainable fashion practices by teaching participants how to repair, redesign, and repurpose existing garments into value-added products, creating additional livelihood opportunities while reducing waste.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive certification, enhancing their employability, entrepreneurial potential, and financial independence. This initiative reflects FLO Pune’s commitment to empowering women through skill development, sustainable livelihoods, and economic inclusion.
