Workshop on Advanced Excel in the Age of AI

The Advanced Excel in the Age of AI (Training of the Trainers) webinar was an engaging, highly interactive, and informative digital capacity-building initiative organized under a strategic partnership between FICCI FLO Uttarakhand and Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU) Executed under a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating digital literacy, technical competence, and AI awareness across the region, this event brought together diverse academic and corporate networks.

The program was formally chaired by Dr. Neha Choksi DBUU and facilitated by corporate trainer and finance researcher CS. Dr. Pitresh Kaushik, ensuring high-quality, practical mentorship throughout the session. The primary curriculum focused heavily on providing hands-on working knowledge of critical spreadsheet tools, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, and Excel Analytics.

A core highlight of the workshop was the introduction of cutting-edge AI interventions, demonstrating how modern generative automation can complement traditional spreadsheet software to streamline manual reporting, speed up data cleaning, and quickly build visual management dashboards. These digital competencies were specifically curated to bridge the gap between traditional administrative workflows and automated technological systems, helping participants maintain, track, and interpret complex datasets error-free.

Demonstrating a significant regional footprint, the session successfully upskilled 100+ faculty participants representing 7 different educational institutions across Dehradun and Ganganagar, alongside 18 active FLO Uttarakhand members.

By adopting a “Training of the Trainers” model, the initiative empowered regional educators to pass these future-ready skills down to their respective students while simultaneously equipping local businesswomen with the data interpretation capabilities necessary to scale up enterprise performance independently. Ultimately, the collaborative event stood out as a powerful milestone in regional tech education, showcasing how structured partnerships can build institutional efficiency, support women’s entrepreneurial journeys, and cultivate a digitally prepared workforce ready to navigate the modern, AI-driven corporate landscape.
