As part of its Earth Day celebrations, FICCI FLO Ahmedabad organised the “Waste to Wow” Workshop, bringing together sustainability advocates, entrepreneurs, FLO members, and NGO women for an engaging and impactful learning experience. Held under the Green Tech & Circular Economy Vertical, the workshop featured insightful sessions by Supriya Gupta, Founder of India Recycle, and Shivansh Vyas, CEO of Clefill, who shared practical solutions for embracing circular economy principles and reducing environmental impact.
Participants explored innovative upcycling techniques that transformed discarded materials into useful and aesthetically appealing products while gaining a deeper understanding of sustainable consumption and responsible waste management. The event also promoted environmentally conscious practices by adopting a no-plastic policy, encouraging carpooling, embracing refill-based consumption, and ensuring zero food wastage.

Waste to WOW achieved a footprint of more than 500 people, including 100 members and 20 NGO women who attended the workshop. Beyond awareness, the workshop created measurable impact by empowering NGO women with practical skills, generating strong interest in recycling initiatives, and inspiring behavioural change towards refill-based consumption.
Following the event, over 400 enquiries were received for recyclable materials, while Clefill reported that more than 700 individuals were motivated to adopt refill practices, demonstrating the event’s lasting influence on sustainable living.
