Valedictory Ceremony: 30-Day CPR Training Programme for Kanpur Police Personnel

FLO Kanpur successfully conducted the Valedictory Ceremony of the 30-Day CPR Training Programme for Kanpur Police Personnel on 14 July 2026, marking the culmination of an impactful initiative focused on strengthening community safety and emergency response capabilities. Conducted from 6 May to 14 July 2026, the programme was organised in collaboration with R.K. Devi Memorial Hospital and covered 30 police stations across Kanpur.

Recognising that police personnel are often among the first responders during accidents, cardiac emergencies, and other critical situations, the programme aimed to equip them with practical and life-saving CPR skills. The training focused on developing participants’ knowledge, confidence, and ability to respond promptly during medical emergencies until professional medical assistance becomes available.

The programme successfully trained 323 police personnel, including 197 women and 126 men, making it one of Kanpur’s largest CPR training initiatives for police personnel. Participants received hands-on training in CPR techniques and emergency response procedures, enabling them to better handle critical situations in the field. Certificates were awarded to all trained participants during the valedictory ceremony in recognition of their successful completion of the programme.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Vipin Tada, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), as Chief Guest; Ms. Archana Singh, ADCP Civil Lines, as Guest of Honour; and Dr. Gaurav Dubey of R.K. Devi Memorial Hospital as Special Guest. The distinguished guests appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of equipping frontline personnel with essential life-saving skills.

Beyond CPR training, the initiative also opened avenues for future collaboration between FICCI FLO Kanpur and Kanpur Police. Discussions were initiated around potential programmes focusing on drone skilling, health check-up camps, and wellness initiatives for police personnel. The programme reflects FICCI FLO Kanpur’s commitment to creating meaningful community impact through healthcare awareness, skill development, and collaborative initiatives, while contributing to a safer and more prepared society.
