Upskilling and Income Generation Program Finale

The Upskilling and Income Generation Initiative Team under FLO Chennai celebrated its finale on International Women’s Day at Arpanam Trust, our ground partner.  March 14th March 2026, the event marked the culmination of a year-long initiative led under the leadership of Chairperson Niyati A Mehta, focusing on skill development, upskilling, livelihood, and income generation opportunities for the unorganized women.  

Throughout the year, training and awareness programs were conducted across several zones, reaching multiple Self Help Group women. In total, over 325 + women were trained. The finale had around 240 attendees. The highlight was the certificate distribution for the Advanced Tailoring Program, marking the completion of their training journey. Earlier training certificates have been distributed.

This community initiative was made possible through the support of the Chairperson, her Team, sponsors, donors, and FLO members, whose commitment helped advance women’s skills and livelihood opportunities.
