FLO Raipur, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Purnima Agarwal, hosted “Unlocking Legal Power at Workplace, workshop” under its Legal Vertical on 12th May 2026 at Shivasha Foundation with the objective of empowering underprivileged graduates through legal awareness and workplace education. The workshop was specially designed for students preparing for CGPSC and other state-level competitive examinations, while also recognizing that many may eventually pursue careers in the private sector.
The initiative sought to equip them with essential knowledge of labour laws, workplace rights, and legal protections that would enable them to make informed career decisions. The session featured Advocate Sara Jain, a distinguished member of the State Bar Council of Chhattisgarh, and Advocate Manisha Kankani, an experienced legal professional specializing in corporate legal work and contract negotiations.
Drawing from their extensive expertise, the speakers explained key aspects of labour laws, employee rights and responsibilities, workplace ethics, and the legal framework governing professional environments. A major focus of the workshop was creating awareness about women’s rights and workplace safety, including the provisions of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act.
The speakers presented these important legal concepts in a simple and accessible manner, ensuring that every participant could easily understand and relate to the information. Interactive presentations, supported by visual slides and videos, made the session engaging and encouraged active participation. Students enthusiastically asked questions, clarified their doubts, and gained confidence in understanding their legal rights and responsibilities.
The workshop also offered FICCI FLO members a valuable opportunity to strengthen their understanding of labour laws and workplace compliance while contributing to a meaningful social initiative. By combining legal education with community outreach, the Legal Vertical reinforced FICCI FLO Raipur’s commitment to empowering young individuals through knowledge, awareness, and skill development. Unlocking Legal Power at Workplace served as a significant step towards creating legally informed, confident, and responsible future professionals.
