Under the leadership of Niyati A. Mehta, FLO Chennai collaborated with Samskriya Foundation to successfully conduct a two-day Nano Drone Training Programme at Dr. Dharmambal Government Polytechnic College for Women, Tharamani, from 18th February 2026 to 19th February 2026. The workshop was organized for 30 students from the departments of Instrumentation & Control Engineering (ICE) and Architectural Assistantship, with the objective of creating awareness about emerging nano drone technology and its growing relevance across industries.
The programme included detailed technical sessions introducing students to drone components, working principles, safety protocols, and diverse applications such as surveillance, mapping, infrastructure planning, and industrial use. The sessions were designed to provide both foundational knowledge and insights into future career opportunities, encouraging young women to explore advanced technology-driven fields.
A key highlight of the workshop was the hands-on training session, where students actively participated in understanding nano drone assembly, basic flight controls, and supervised flying practice. This practical exposure enhanced their confidence and technical understanding, making the programme both informative and empowering for the participants.
