FLO Mumbai, under the leadership of Chairperson Pooja Arambhan Tiwari, in association with Western Railways as part of the National FLO MOU, conducted a tree plantation drive on the occasion of World Environmental Day at the Western Railway head will be conducting a Staff Quarters at Badhwar Park, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.
To kick start the green initiative, FLO Mumbai Members planted neem and tulsi saplings in the garden premises, understanding the importance of these trees for a cleaner environment.
The occasion also had senior representation from the Western Railways Women’s Welfare Association, where the President and Secretary were present.
In the networking session, EC Members discussed how to develop joint collaboration with Western Railways to conduct financial and digital awareness drives for their women employees. FLO Mumbai also discussed the One Product One platform scheme of western railways were women entrepreneurs can showcase their products at a platform for a week for a minimal amount. This scheme of the railways has been very successful, where women have not only gained recognition for their product but also have become financially independent.
FLO Mumbai to take the National FLO MOU ahead, conducted a similar plantation drive at the Western Railway quarters in Santa Cruz on 9th July 2025, where medicinal plants were donated by FLO Mumbai and planted in the quarters’ garden premises
Around 15 attendees became a part of this plantation drive, including FLO Members and Western Railway Women welfare association President and Secretaries.
