The Runway Royale

FLO Ahmedabad’s Textile Committee, led by Chairperson Ms. Usha Jaiswal, organised “The Runway Royale — An Immersive Evening of High Fashion, Textiles, Art and Culture” on 7th June 2026 at Hotel Hyatt Regency. Graced by Honorary Mayor Ms. Anju Shah as Chief Guest, the evening brought together over 350 FLO members for a celebration of high fashion, textiles, handicraft, culture, and music, curated as an exclusive experience.

The highlight of the evening was a spectacular runway showcase featuring designers JAJAABOR, Mandira Wirk, Bahaara, and Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, each presenting collections that beautifully blended traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities. Their creations spotlighted intricate techniques including detailed weaving, Bandhani tie-dye, Kutch mirror embroidery, Aari work, and Jamdani weave, alongside fine surface embellishments and luxurious fabrics such as silk, organza, chiffon, and handwoven textiles.

Complementing the runway showcase were exquisite jewellery presentations from homegrown brands Atarashi by K K, Carbon, Samriddhi Jewels, and Sangeetha Jain Jewels, featuring statement pieces crafted using meenakari, kundan, polki, and contemporary metalwork — adding depth and richness to the evening’s overall aesthetic narrative.

Beyond the glamour of the runway, the event carried a meaningful academic dimension through FICCI FLO Ahmedabad’s Student Industry Exposure Initiative. As part of the chapter’s commitment to nurturing future talent and strengthening industry-academia collaboration, students from BRDS were given the unique opportunity to work backstage alongside leading designers and professional fashion teams.
