The Royal Legacy Trail

The Royal Legacy Trail, hosted by the Experiences vertical of FICCI FLO Bengaluru on 8th June 2026, was a thoughtfully curated heritage experience designed to immerse members in the rich cultural, royal, and entrepreneurial legacy of Mysore. The event offered a unique blend of history, conversation, craftsmanship, and community bonding, making it far more than a day trip—it became a journey into the living heritage of Karnataka.

The experience began at the iconic Mysore Palace, where participants had the rare privilege of an intimate fireside chat with HH Trishika Kumari Wadiyar. Her presence added extraordinary depth to the event, as she shared reflections on royal heritage, continuity, and the role of leadership in preserving legacy while adapting to changing times. This session gave members a meaningful glimpse into a world where history remains deeply relevant in the present.

The journey continued with a special session at the historic Mysore Race Club featuring Mr. Arjun Ranga, Managing Director of Cycle Pure Agarbathi. His insights brought a powerful business dimension to the day, highlighting how heritage-led enterprises can remain resilient and relevant through innovation, strong values, and long-term vision. His conversation resonated strongly with FLO members, especially as it connected family business, identity, tradition, and modern entrepreneurship.

A visit to the KSIC (Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation) factory added a hands-on and educational dimension to the experience. Members witnessed the intricate process behind Mysore’s renowned silk weaving tradition, gaining a deeper appreciation for the artistry, labour, and legacy behind one of Karnataka’s most iconic crafts.

The day also celebrated the sensory richness of local culture through a traditional Yele Oota at the iconic Hotel Metropole, followed by the much-loved Maddur Vada from Tiffany’s on the return journey to Bengaluru. These thoughtful touches elevated the experience, making it deeply rooted in place and tradition. Around 135 participants became part of this beautiful and extraordinary heritage experience.

Overall, the Royal Legacy Trail successfully brought together heritage, enterprise, craft, and culinary culture in one memorable experience, creating inspiration, connection, and pride among FLO members while reinforcing the value of immersive, experience-led learning.
