The interactive webinar “Tax Smart Women: Building a Tax-Efficient & Compliant Business” was organized on 16 September 2026 by FLO Uttarakhand in collaboration with the FICCI FLO Northeast Chapter. Designed around the motto “Know • Comply • Grow with confidence,” the two-hour virtual masterclass addressed a critical need for women entrepreneurs: transforming complex regulatory compliance into a strategic business advantage.
The session was facilitated by CA Apoorva Kalra, an expert in indirect taxation, compliance, and litigation. She focused on the premise that long-term corporate sustainability relies heavily on a business owner’s ability to thoroughly understand their financial numbers. Rather than viewing taxation as an annual hurdle, the webinar taught participants how to use proactive tax planning to optimize working capital and protect their businesses from legal risks.
A significant portion of the workshop was dedicated to demystifying the Goods and Services Tax (GST) framework. CA Kalra provided highly practical guidance on everyday compliance, invoice mapping, and proper documentation to help startups avoid penalties. Through real-world case studies, attendees learned how to identify underlying financial exposures, manage internal audits, and legally minimize tax liabilities using current government schemes.
By replacing compliance anxiety with financial clarity, this collaborative initiative successfully empowered women leaders to scale robust, audit-ready, and highly competitive enterprises.
