FICCI FLO Bengaluru Chapter, through its Social Impact Circle, organized a Strategic Collaboration Meeting and STEM Roundtable with the leadership and faculty of RV Educational Institutions on 10 July 2026. The meeting brought together academic leaders, faculty members, and FLO representatives to explore long-term collaborations that can create sustainable and measurable social impact across Karnataka.
The discussions focused on leveraging RV College of Engineering’s well-established community outreach ecosystem, which includes 48 adopted villages, IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), student-led social responsibility initiatives, mandatory student activity programs, cloud technology training for women, rural development projects, prison skilling initiatives, and digital literacy programs for senior citizens. These existing platforms provide a strong foundation for designing impactful community interventions through strategic partnerships.
A key objective of the meeting was to identify opportunities where FICCI FLO Bengaluru’s professional network, mentors, and industry experts could complement RVCE’s institutional strengths. The participants discussed the need to move beyond isolated activities and instead build structured, scalable programs that deliver measurable outcomes. Special emphasis was placed on empowering girls and young women through STEM education, mentorship, career guidance, leadership development, digital literacy, and life skills.
The discussion also highlighted critical social challenges, including limited access to government schools, increasing dropout rates among girls after Grades 9 and 10, and the need for stronger community engagement in rural areas. To address these issues, a collaborative framework comprising student volunteers, FLO mentors and speakers, and technical domain experts was proposed to ensure effective implementation and long-term sustainability.
Three pilot initiatives were shortlisted for further development: a year-long mentorship program for school girls, student-led village development projects, and a comprehensive 360-degree village rejuvenation model integrating education, health, digital literacy, women’s empowerment, and livelihood interventions.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to establish a joint working group to finalize one flagship pilot project for implementation during August–October 2026. By combining RV Educational Institutions’ outreach infrastructure with FICCI FLO Bengaluru’s leadership and industry expertise, the partnership aims to create a scalable model for inclusive community development and meaningful social transformation.
