The STEM Spark: Igniting Young Minds Through Science & Innovation event, organized by FICCI FLO Uttarakhand under the theme “Future Frontier for Girls,” was successfully held on September 21, 2026, at Universal Academy on Turner Road, Dehradun. Driven by the core mission of bridging the gender gap in technology, the event served as a dynamic platform designed to inspire, empower, and encourage young school girls to enthusiastically explore education and future career pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Facilitated by Neha Gupta, Executive Director at Tryfibox, the workshop moved entirely away from traditional, rigid textbook learning. Instead, it introduced students to the cutting-edge worlds of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and Space Technology. Through highly interactive, hands-on science activities, live robotics demonstrations, and engaging quizzes, the event successfully transformed abstract scientific concepts into tangible, exciting realities, sparking deep curiosity and fostering critical thinking among the participants.
A major highlight of the initiative was its focus on mentorship and representation. By sharing the real-world journeys and triumphs of successful women leaders in tech, the event provided the students with visible, relatable role models. This representation aimed to dismantle long-standing stereotypes, build self-confidence, and prove that leadership in technical fields is fully within their reach.
Ultimately, FICCI FLO Uttarakhand’s “STEM Spark” initiative went beyond a standard educational workshop; it acted as a vital catalyst for social change, equipping the next generation of female innovators with the inspiration, mindset, and foundational awareness needed to lead the technological frontiers of tomorrow.
