FLO Pune, under the leadership of Chairperson Poonam Kochhar, organized a unique industry exposure visit in collaboration with Robotex India and Ernst & Young (EY), Pune. Held under the STEM and Women Empowerment initiatives, the programme brought together 29 Grade 10 girl students from BT Shahani Navin Hind School for an immersive corporate learning experience and their first introduction to the AI Skills Passport programme.
Over five hours of mentoring and interaction, students were introduced to the corporate ecosystem, various career opportunities, workplace culture, and the skills required for future success. EY professionals shared their personal career journeys, workplace insights, and guidance on professional growth, helping students envision broader possibilities for their futures.
A key highlight of the session was the introduction to the EY–Microsoft AI Skills Passport, designed to build foundational AI knowledge and digital literacy among students and educators. The programme encouraged participants to understand the growing importance of AI and technology in shaping future careers.
The visit successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and the professional world, inspiring young girls to think beyond traditional career choices and equipping them with the confidence and motivation to become future leaders. Through meaningful interactions with industry professionals, the students gained valuable insights into the skills, mindset, and opportunities required to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
