FLO Bengaluru, under its Social Impact Circle, organised a Stakeholder Consultation Roundtable on 22nd July 2026 with representatives from Gopahalli Village and Ramnagara Gram Panchayat to collaboratively identify community priorities and create a roadmap for sustainable rural development. The consultation brought together nearly 35 Panchayat representatives, alongside Neelam Agarwal, Vidya Bangalore, Sakshi Ram Chandnani, and senior representatives from RV College of Engineering (RVCE), including the Vice Principal, Dean, and Head of the Social Outreach Cell.
The roundtable provided a platform for open dialogue, enabling Panchayat leaders to share the immediate and long-term developmental needs of their communities. Key focus areas identified included vocational training in plumbing and electrical work, computer education, digital literacy, competitive examination coaching, STEM education, science laboratory support, youth skill development, women’s livelihood programmes, healthcare, financial literacy, and legal awareness.
During the discussions, the FICCI FLO Bengaluru Social Impact Circle presented its existing portfolio of community initiatives and proposed a range of interventions tailored to the villages’ needs. These included Beauty & Wellness training, tailoring with machine support, baking courses, computer and digital literacy programmes, financial literacy workshops, health camps, and the Haq Darshak initiative, which will educate women about their legal rights, government welfare schemes, entitlements, and access to legal and social support services. The programme will engage both elected women Panchayat representatives and women from the wider village community, fostering greater awareness and inclusion.
A significant outcome of the consultation was the commitment from RV College of Engineering (RVCE) to collaborate on technical, educational, and community outreach initiatives. To ensure seamless coordination and accountability, a dedicated WhatsApp working group was established, bringing together Panchayat representatives, RVCE officials, and the FICCI FLO Social Impact Team. This platform will facilitate regular communication, prioritisation of projects, and monitoring of implementation.
The first phase of interventions is scheduled to commence in August 2026, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership focused on empowering rural communities through education, skill development, legal literacy, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
