Raw & Real with Manoj Bajpayee

Cinema has always held up a mirror to society, and few artists embody that connection as powerfully as Padma Shri award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee. FICCI FLO Ahmedabad brought this reflection to life through “Raw & Real with Manoj Bajpayee,” an intimate and insightful session that went beyond the glamour of the entertainment industry to explore its deeper social and historical roots.

Held under the theme of Performing Art — Artist Interaction & Financial Literacy, the session was to give FLO members a candid, and unfiltered conversation on the ever-evolving entertainment industry, the influence of films on society, and the way content and storytelling have transformed over the years.

A particularly compelling segment of the session saw Mr. Bajpayee reflects on India’s 1990s economic crisis — a defining turning point that reshaped the nation’s economic trajectory, and now the subject of his film, Governor: The Silent Saviour. His reflections wove together cinema, history, and social change, offering members a powerful reminder of storytelling’s ability to capture and communicate pivotal national moments long after they’ve passed.
