Rashmi Sarita is the Executive Director of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), with over 23 years at FICCI, including 11 years leading FLO’s national strategy and operations. Under her leadership, FLO has expanded its footprint to 22 chapters and 15,000+ members, significantly strengthening its position as one of India’s largest platforms for women in business.
A Master of International Business from the Delhi School of Economics, she is a seasoned policy specialist with expertise across textiles, R&D, intellectual property rights, geospatial technologies, and homeland security. She has been instrumental in institutionalizing governance frameworks, streamlining chapter operations, and enhancing stakeholder alignment across a geographically diverse network.
Rashmi has led multiple high-impact initiatives enabling women’s economic participation, including integrating women entrepreneurs into formal value chains, facilitating national and international market access, and advancing policy dialogue with government and industry. Her work has directly supported 10,000 women entrepreneurs/artisans, mobilized partnerships with 20+institutions/PSUs, and driven initiatives across 15 states.
Her current focus is on strengthening the Care Economy and leveraging technology as a force multiplier to scale women-led enterprises and bridge access gaps. She continues to champion inclusive growth by building leadership pipelines, fostering cross-border collaborations, and positioning women as key contributors to India’s evolving economic landscape.
