FICCI FLO, under the leadership of 43rd National President, Ms. Puja Garg, in collaboration with Department of Women & Child Development (DWCD), Government of NCT of Delhi, organized a Public Street Art Program with the Lead Master Artist and Head of Programme, Shri Umesh Dutt Sharma. The programme was held for empowering women participants from underserved communities by equipping them with practical artistic skills, create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods and promote women’s economic empowerment through visual arts and creative entrepreneurship.

Mr. Sharma provided overall artistic direction, training delivery and successful execution of the first phase of the programme. The practical training covered surface preparation, mural-scale drafting, outdoor colour application, painting techniques and collaborative street art. A honorarium of ₹20,000 (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) per artist was paid for the 15-day training programme, including Shri Rajesh Chand, Shri Mahesh Sharma, Shri Dinesh Ram, Shri Devi Das, and Shri Umesh Dutt Sharma. The entire honorarium commitment was borne and disbursed directly by the Maharaja Hari Singh Social and Education Foundation, under the leadership of Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh.

The 15-day hands-on training programme impacted approximately 90 women beneficiaries mobilised through DWCD centres and community networks. This collaborative initiative reflected FLO’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for women’s economic independence through skill development, artistic expression, and entrepreneurship. The public street art program was hosted under the FLO National Visual Arts Initiative, led by Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, National Initiative Lead, and Ms. Sonia Singla, Co-Lead, supported by core team members Ms. Sunita Kanoria and Ms. Payal Jain Kapoor.
