FLO Mumbai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Seema Saroj, marked a proud moment for FICCI FLO Mumbai and women in sports, as Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Smt. Sunetra Pawar met FICCI FLO Mumbai Chairperson Seema Saroj and Taekwondo athlete Rutuja Ramesh Sonane.
During the interaction, Rutuja was congratulated for her international achievement, while FICCI FLO Mumbai’s efforts towards supporting and encouraging women’s participation in sports were acknowledged. A significant aspect of Rutuja’s journey has been the support extended by FICCI FLO Mumbai Past Chair Renu Kapoor, whose sponsorship and encouragement are contributing to Rutuja’s continued international sporting journey.
The initiative represents the impact that focused support can have on an individual athlete’s journey—from providing encouragement and financial support to enabling participation at international sporting platforms. FLO Mumbai has directly impacted 1 woman athlete who won 1 international Bronze medal and will participate in an upcoming international championship in Indonesia.
