The FLO Bangalore hosted an event featuring Vidya Balan, celebrating Karnataka’s rich heritage of weaves and handlooms. FLO Bangalore’s National Initiative – Showcasing Karnataka Handloom, Textile & Weaves along with Rural Entrepreneurship & Woman Livelihood & FLO entrepreneurship. The event showcased the entrepreneurial spirit of FLO members through connecting artisans and entrepreneurs.
Vidya Balan engaged the audience with her empowering stories and commitment to Indian weaves, leaving everyone inspired. The highlight was the presence of FLO National President Ms. Joyshree Das Verma, who inaugurated a project with the NGO ‘A Hundred Hands’ for skilled artisans.
The “Woven Heritage” installation by the National Handloom & Handicraft Team showcased Karnataka’s textile artistry, featuring Ilkal sarees, Khana soft furnishings, and Channapatna handicrafts. This event highlighted the synergy between art, entrepreneurship, and empowerment.
