Plantation Drive On World Environment Day 2026

YFLO Hyderabad, under the leadership of Chairperson Khushboo Daga, hosted a highly impactful Plantation Drive on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026 at The Shri Ram Academy. The event was organized to seamlessly blend environmental awareness with direct community development, bringing together organizational leaders, school faculty, and young students in a shared mission of ecological restoration.

To mark the global environmental milestone, YFLO generously donated 100 native tree saplings to the academy. This donation formed the structural foundation of the day’s activities, moving beyond symbolic gestures to create a measurable, physical expansion of the local green cover. The plantation drive aimed to restore the ecosystems and combat the ongoing challenges related to climate change.

Participants actively engaged in the hands-on planting process across the designated zones of the campus. Guided by sustainability principles, attendees dug soil, securely planted the saplings, and watered the newly set roots, turning the drive into an interactive workshop on environmental preservation. The selection of native saplings was intentionally planned to ensure high survival rates and optimal long-term benefits for the local ecosystem, including natural shade production, air quality improvement, and the support of localized biodiversity.

The event functioned as a powerful community bridge, successfully linking personal civic duty with institutional environmental goals. The shared energy of the participants fostered a collective spirit of climate action, providing a meaningful, educational experience for the younger generation.

The initiative concluded with a symbolic gathering of the leadership board and school representatives to commemorate the green legacy left behind on the campus. The flawless execution of the drive underscored YFLO Hyderabad’s operational capability to launch practical, field-level initiatives that leave a lasting positive impact on the ecosystem while inspiring widespread societal participation.
