FLO Chennai proudly launched the General Duty Assistant (GDA) Skill Development Project, marking an important milestone in the Chapter’s commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through strategic partnerships. The initiative brings together FLO National, Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), Finolex Industries, FICCI FLO Chennai, and RMD Academy for Health, reflecting a shared vision of empowering young women through healthcare skill development, life skills, and meaningful employment.
The journey to this milestone took over two months of planning, documentation, partner evaluations, infrastructure inspections, multiple site visits, and detailed discussions. Every stage was carefully reviewed to ensure the project met the high standards required for implementation. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 23 July 2026 during a virtual meeting attended by stakeholders from FLO National, MMF, Finolex Industries, FLO Chennai, RMD Academy for Health, and representatives from different states.
The signing formally marked the beginning of this National CSR partnership. The first batch of 30 young women has commenced the three-month GDA training programme. The course combines healthcare skills, life skills, workplace readiness, practical exposure, and placement support. The programme aligns with Tamil Nadu Skill Development initiatives and will be monitored through regular site visits, inspections, progress reviews, and stakeholder reporting to ensure transparency, accountability, quality implementation, and measurable outcomes.
More than a training programme, this project establishes a strong partnership between FLO National, MMF, Finolex Industries, FICCI FLO Chennai, and RMD Academy for Health, laying the foundation for future National CSR livelihood collaborations.
