MoU Signing between FLO Uttarakhand, Mukul Madhav Foundation, and BAIF for Strawberry and Mushroom Cultivation

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Tripti Behl, officially formalized a strategic partnership to launch the Udyamita Project. The milestone agreement was executed at the Uttarakhand CSR Dialogue 2026 in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji. This multi-stakeholder alliance converges state leadership, corporate social responsibility (CSR) capital, and technical field expertise by uniting the Mukul Madhav Foundation (the CSR arm of Finolex Industries Limited) and the Bharatiya Agro Industries Foundation (BAIF) Development Research Foundation.

The following dignitaries joined the MoU signing:

  • Mr. Aman Bhandari – Mukul Madhav Foundation & Finolex
  • Mr. Sandip Yadav – Regional Director (North Zone), BAIF
  • Dr. Dinesh Ratauri – State Head, BAIF Uttarakhand
  • Ms. Tripti Behl – Chairperson, FICCI FLO Uttarakhand Chapter

The primary objective of the Udyamita Project is to create an end-to-end socio-economic ecosystem that empowers rural youth and women by transitioning them from subsistence farming into self-reliant micro-entrepreneurs. To optimize economic returns within regional geographical constraints, the project introduces advanced, climate-resilient agrarian training specifically for high-value value chains, namely protected strawberry cultivation and vertical mushroom farming.

The MoU signing was structured around four primary objectives:

  1. Empowering Rural Youth and Women: Establishing a framework to transform rural women and youth into self-reliant, first-generation micro-entrepreneurs.
  2. Skill Development: Providing technical training, mentorship, and practical capacity building for high-value agriculture to enhance earning capacities.
  3. Sustainable Livelihoods: Generating reliable, climate-resilient, and long-term income streams specifically adapted to the geography of rural Uttarakhand.
  4. Inclusive Economic Growth: Bridging the economic gap in marginalized rural areas by unlocking corporate CSR capital and state resources to foster community-wide economic development.
