FLO Kanpur, under the leadership of Chairperson Kriti Shroff, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rakan ITI, a college for vocational and technical education in Kanpur, to empower young girls with digital literacy and coding skills. It will enable them to participate confidently in the digital economy and the future job market. Also, it encouraged the young girls to pursue a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), which will open doors to good job opportunities for them.
The program started with giving basic computer knowledge to the students of Kanpur Nagar Nigam schools. Also, the students started learning coding skills for not just getting good career opportunities but also improving their core cognitive abilities, such as computational thinking and logical reasoning.
