May Autism Awareness & Support Campaign – Art for a Cause

On 9th May, Aagosh NGO hosted its Annual Performing Arts Event, celebrating the remarkable talent, confidence, and creativity of the students and members. FLO Amritsar was honoured to be associated with and support this meaningful initiative, helping encourage the participants to express themselves through various performances and stage acts.

Aagosh Centre, an NGO established in 2014 by founder Mrs. Manjinder Kaur, has continuously worked towards nurturing and empowering specially-abled individuals through creativity, learning, and self-expression. The event beautifully showcased inspiring performances by specially-abled children and young adults who had been trained and guided with dedication and care.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest General Officer Commanding, Lt. Gen. Karthik C. Seshadri. The event was held under the leadership and vision of Mrs. Shikha Sareen, Chairperson of Aagosh for the past two years, whose continued support and commitment have contributed immensely towards encouraging creativity and confidence amongst the 500+ children.

The primary objective of this initiative under the Health, Wellness & Life Skills enabler is to champion inclusivity, dignity, and long-term empowerment for neurodiverse and special needs individuals. By collaborating with Aagosh School for Special Needs, the campaign leverages the transformative power of visual and performing arts to bridge the gap between neurodiverse and neurotypical communities.

The event reflected how art and creativity can become a powerful medium of confidence and inclusion for differently-abled individuals. The Annual Performing Arts Event was not just a celebration of talent, but also a reminder that every individual shines uniquely when given love, opportunity, and encouragement.
