Launch of Employability Program

FLO Bangalore, under its Social Impact Circle, launched its Employability Program at Swami Vivekananda Rural First Grade College, Nivedita Campus. The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between academic education and workplace requirements by equipping young students with practical, industry-relevant skills that can improve their employability and access to meaningful career opportunities.

The initiative is structured as a 3–4 month training programme comprising 60 sessions per student, providing sustained learning and development rather than one-time exposure. The programme focuses on five core areas: soft skills, computer training, language skills, confidence building, and public speaking. These competencies have been carefully identified to help students communicate effectively, develop professional confidence, improve their digital capabilities, and navigate workplace environments more easily.

The programme was launched in the presence of Deepa Boopesh Reddy, Chairperson, FICCI FLO Bengaluru, and Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director of Karnataka Plascom Engineers Pvt. Ltd. and Auro Groups and Trustee, Mor Charitable Trust. Their participation reinforced the importance of industry and community partnerships in creating pathways from education to employment.

A key strength of the initiative is its structured progression from training to internships and employment. Upon completion of the training, participants will move into internship opportunities, followed by a dedicated job fair for the cohort, connecting trained students with potential employers.

Aligned with FLO’s focus on AI & Digital Literacy, Health, Wellness & Life Skills, and employability, the initiative aims to develop not only job-ready skills but also confidence, adaptability, communication, and professional resilience.
