FLO Amritsar, under the leadership of Chairperson Tannya Khanna, participated in the “International Trade & Export Interaction Session” held on May 7, 2026. The session served as an important platform to encourage women entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and emerging businesses to explore opportunities in international trade, exports, and cross-border collaborations.
The interaction brought together key stakeholders from the export and trade ecosystem, including representatives from the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), and ICIB. Distinguished dignitaries, including Gaurav Gupta, Utpal Kumar Acharya, Ashwani Kumar, and Manpreet Singh, shared valuable insights on export procedures, international trade policies, compliance, logistics, and global market opportunities.
A major highlight of the session was the participation of international delegates, including the Ambassadors of Bolivia, Panama, and Uruguay. Their presence added a global perspective to the discussions and encouraged meaningful dialogue around bilateral trade opportunities, market access, and international business collaborations. The session also provided entrepreneurs with an opportunity to interact directly with diplomats and trade representatives, helping them gain a better understanding of global business practices and export ecosystems.
The interaction focused on strengthening sectors such as Textile, Handloom & Handicrafts, and State-Specific Growth Industries while supporting important enablers including MSME & Export, Policy & Advocacy, and Start-Up development. Participants gained awareness about export documentation, compliance procedures, international market access, and strategies for business expansion.
The session created a valuable networking platform connecting entrepreneurs, policymakers, diplomats, and trade bodies. With participation from 15 FLO members and benefiting over 100 individuals across Punjab, the interaction contributed towards increasing awareness around international trade opportunities and encouraging women-led enterprises to explore global markets and future export initiatives.
