FLO Amritsar presented the inaugural edition of The Amritsar Baithak Circle with Classical Strings, featuring celebrated violin maestro Prashant Mishra, accompanied by accomplished tabla artist Ajaypal Singh Sandhu. Hosted in an intimate Baithak setting, the evening celebrated the elegance and expressive depth of Hindustani classical music through the violin.
The performance transported audiences through intricate ragas, rhythmic improvisations and soulful compositions, demonstrating the versatility and emotional richness of Indian classical traditions. The Baithak format encouraged audiences to experience music at close quarters, creating a personal connection between performers and listeners. Rather than being passive spectators, attendees became active participants in an evening of artistic appreciation, cultural dialogue, and shared musical experiences.
The event also reinforced FICCI FLO Amritsar’s commitment to preserving traditional performing arts while creating opportunities for distinguished artists to connect with new audiences. By reviving the age-old Baithak culture, the chapter highlighted the importance of safeguarding India’s musical heritage and ensuring that classical traditions continue to inspire future generations.
The evening successfully established The Amritsar Baithak Circle as a signature cultural initiative under the Navras theme, laying the foundation for a recurring platform dedicated to excellence in the performing arts.
