FLO Mumbai, under the leadership of Chairperson Seema Saroj, organised an engaging and interactive Healthy Plating session at Rooveda, Kamani Chambers, Mumbai, with Ms. Tanisha, who demonstrated how healthy and wholesome food can be made more attractive and appetising through thoughtful plating, colour, texture, arrangement, and garnishing.
The live demonstration took members through simple and practical plating techniques using fresh ingredients, greens, edible flowers and decorative elements. The session showed how everyday nutritious meals can be presented creatively without requiring complicated methods, making healthy food more inviting and enjoyable.
The session also built a meaningful connection between kitchen gardening, fresh produce, and mindful eating, demonstrating how ingredients grown with care can be transformed into appealing dishes. Members were encouraged to appreciate the quality and freshness of ingredients while being more conscious of how food is prepared and served.
With 34 FLO members participating, the session offered practical ideas that could be easily incorporated into everyday life. It reinforced the message that conscious living extends beyond choosing healthy ingredients to preparing and presenting food with creativity, care, and mindfulness.
