Health Harmony: Nurturing Women’s Health

YFLO Hyderabad, led by Chairperson Ms. Ridhi Jain and in collaboration with Medicover Hospital, and Sarojini Naidu College organized a 2-day event at Sarojini Naidu Vanita Maha Vidyalaya College. The event focused on fostering an in-depth understanding of womenÍs health and wellness. It aimed to promote health awareness and provide essential health screenings to young women.

The event began with a Health Screening Camp dedicated to the hostel girls of Sarojini Naidu College. 350 students participated in comprehensive health assessments conducted by experienced medical professionals from Medicover Hospital. The screenings included blood pressure (BP) monitoring, blood sugar level testing, and general health check-ups, all aimed at empowering the students to take proactive steps toward improving their well-being.

The event shifted to the WomenÍs Health & Wellness Talk, held in the College Auditorium. This session was attended by over 300 students and faculty members. Ms. Ridhi Jain discussed YFLO HyderabadÍs ongoing efforts to support young women, especially those living in hostels, who often neglect their health due to the pressures of academic life.

The event featured the collaboration between Medicover Hospital and FICCI YFLO, highlighting the launch of a special health initiative coupon for faculty members, ensuring continued access to healthcare services.

The key highlight of the event was a talk by Dr. Pruthvi Perum, a Consultant Gynecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon. Dr. Perum addressed a variety of crucial topics related to womenÍs health, including adolescent health, preventive care, and the importance of balanced nutrition in preventing lifestyle disorders such as PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease).

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where the hostel girls had the opportunity to ask Dr. Perum questions about a variety of health concerns.
