FLO Indore launched Green RE, a city-wide e-waste collection campaign aimed at making Indore an e-waste-responsible city. The initiative encouraged citizens to dispose of obsolete electronic equipment safely and responsibly, promoting environmental awareness and sustainable waste management. Through the campaign, FLO members stepped up as E-Waste Ambassadors, mobilising residents, neighbours, offices and residential communities to participate in responsible e-waste collection.
Accepted items included cables, wires, televisions, projectors, refrigerators, microwaves, battery-operated toys, mobile phones, laptops, computers and other discarded electronic appliances. Organised in association with the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID), Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Indore Centre, JITO Youth, Lotus Electronics and E-Waste Samadhan, the initiative encouraged collective action towards reducing electronic waste and supporting its responsible handling and recycling.
The city-wide campaign mobilised FLO members and communities to adopt responsible e-waste disposal practices, strengthening awareness and participation in sustainable waste management.
