Gram Shakti Program By FLO Kanpur

FLO Kanpur, under the leadership of Chairperson Ankita Garg, launched The Gram Shakti program, on 25th April at 11:00 AM at Rakan ITI Rania. It was a landmark initiative by FICCI FLO Kanpur in collaboration with Empower Panchayat. Designed as a Training and Advocacy Program for Grassroot Women Leaders, the event embodied FLO’s mission of “The Power to Empower” by equipping women at the village level with leadership skills, confidence, and policy awareness.

The program was presented by Puja Garg, National President FLO, and Ankita Garg, Chairperson FLO Kanpur, whose leadership underscored the importance of extending empowerment beyond urban centers to rural communities. The initiative carried the inspiring tagline “ग्राम से देश तक – नेतृत्व की नई उड़ान”, symbolizing the journey of grassroots women leaders from villages to national platforms.

The National Team, comprising Dr. Aarti Gupta, Aaradhana Dalmia, Sneha Gupta, and Urvi Shriram, provided strategic direction, while the Kanpur Policy & Advocacy Team—Dr. Shefali Raj, Meenu Jhunjhunwala, and Neha Mahana—ensured local implementation and contextual relevance. Together, they created a framework that blended training, advocacy, and mentorship.

The program focused on building awareness about governance, rights, and opportunities, while also encouraging women to actively participate in decision-making processes within their communities. By combining policy advocacy with practical training, Gram Shakti aimed to nurture a new generation of women leaders who can influence change at the grassroots level and contribute to national development.
