FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Amulya Rao, successfully organized a Free Eye Screening Camp on 18 June 2026 at the Arpanam premises within Church Park School, Chennai. Conducted in collaboration with Wockhardt Foundation and Arpanam, the initiative aimed to provide accessible eye care services while creating awareness about the importance of regular vision screening and preventive eye health.
The camp offered comprehensive eye examinations, vision screening, and awareness sessions on maintaining healthy eyesight. Qualified ophthalmic professionals examined participants, assessed their vision, identified potential eye conditions, and offered appropriate recommendations for further treatment wherever necessary. Beneficiaries were also educated on eye hygiene, nutritional practices that support eye health, and methods to reduce digital eye strain in everyday life.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, with over 150 beneficiaries availing themselves of the free eye screening services. Many participants benefited from early identification of vision-related concerns that may otherwise have gone unnoticed. The availability of professional eye care services within the community significantly improved accessibility and encouraged beneficiaries to prioritize routine eye examinations.
The successful execution of the camp was made possible through the combined efforts of FICCI FLO Chennai, Wockhardt Foundation, Arpanam, healthcare professionals, and volunteers.
