FLO–YFLO Kolkata Bazaar

FLO Kolkata, in collaboration with YFLO Kolkata, organised the FLO–YFLO Kolkata Bazaar as a vibrant pan-Indian marketplace under its MSME Initiative, Textile Initiative and Social Development through FLO Skilling Center, bringing together an eclectic portfolio of 110 brands and enterprises. The Bazaar served as a dynamic platform for women and men entrepreneurs to showcase their offerings, engage directly with consumers, strengthen brand visibility and explore meaningful opportunities for business expansion.

The Bazaar was inaugurated by acclaimed actress Raima Sen and Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Consul General, whose presence added distinction to the occasion. The distinguished guests walked through the Bazaar, interacted with participating brands and encouraged the entrepreneurs, recognising their creativity, enterprise and commitment to building distinctive businesses.

The 2026 edition witnessed participation from more than 40 outstation brands, with entrepreneurs and enterprises travelling from prominent cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Vadodara and Pune. This extensive participation gave the Bazaar a distinctly national character, creating an enriching confluence of businesses, ideas, products and entrepreneurial perspectives from across the country.

The Bazaar presented an expansive spectrum of categories, reflecting the breadth and vibrancy of India’s contemporary entrepreneurial and creative economy. The offerings encompassed home décor, lifestyle products, Western and Indo-Western fashion, Indian ethnic wear, men’s Indian and Western apparel, jewellery, silver products, footwear, plants, gifting solutions and diverse lifestyle offerings.

A particularly significant dimension of the initiative was the participation of women trained through the FLO Skilling Centre at Apni Kutir. The women were provided with a meaningful opportunity to showcase and sell products created through their vocational training, enabling them to experience direct customer interaction, market exposure and the commercial value of their skills. The Bazaar thus served as an important bridge between skilling, product creation and market access, helping translate vocational empowerment into tangible economic opportunity.

The initiative also extended its platform to women-led NGOs and social development organisations, enabling them to showcase their products, initiatives and social enterprises before a wider audience. Their participation brought an important dimension of purpose and inclusivity to the marketplace, supporting organisations working towards community development and women’s empowerment.

With an approximate footfall of 3,000 visitors, the Bazaar facilitated meaningful customer outreach and direct market engagement. Entrepreneurs and participating organisations gained an opportunity to understand consumer preferences, receive immediate market feedback and build stronger relationships with prospective customers. The convergence of diverse brands, social enterprises and skill-based initiatives also created avenues for networking, cross-sector interaction and potential collaborations.

The FLO–YFLO Kolkata Bazaar thus emerged as more than a marketplace—it became a vibrant confluence of enterprise, creativity, skill development, social impact and economic opportunity, reinforcing the commitment of FICCI Ladies Organisation, Kolkata and YFLO Kolkata to creating inclusive platforms where businesses and communities can connect, grow and flourish.
