FLO Bengaluru’s Social Initiatives – Skilling Vertical successfully conducted a hands-on Mobile Repair Training Workshop at Abalashrama on 11 November 2025, aimed at equipping women with practical technical skills to enhance economic independence and self-reliance. The workshop focused on core aspects of mobile and smartphone repair, including basic diagnostics, troubleshooting common hardware and software issues, and routine maintenance.
Designed to be accessible and application-oriented, the training enabled participants to acquire skills relevant to both self-employment and entry-level technical roles. The initiative delivered strong outcomes across multiple dimensions. Participants gained confidence in handling mobile devices independently, strengthened their problem-solving abilities, and developed technical proficiency that directly improves employability.
The program also contributed to enhanced digital literacy, an essential skill in today’s technology-driven environment. By enabling women to explore income-generating opportunities through mobile repair services, the workshop supports financial stability at the household level while fostering broader community resilience.
This initiative reinforces FLO Bengaluru’s ongoing commitment to gender equity, economic
empowerment, and inclusive skilling. Through focused, grassroots-level interventions, FLO continues to create meaningful pathways for women to build sustainable livelihoods and participate actively in the digital economy.
