FLO SheRises Bootcamp — 3-Day Women Entrepreneurs Startup Bootcamp in Partnership with MeitY Startup Hub & StartinUP (Government of UP Initiative)

Three days at Hotel Clarks Avadh, and 33 women entrepreneurs left with something rare — not just knowledge, but a completed map of what building a startup in Uttar Pradesh actually requires, institutionally and strategically.

FLO SheRises was structured as a genuine end-to-end education, not a series of loosely connected talks. The early sessions focused on the foundation every founder needs and few are taught properly: how to validate whether an idea has real market demand before investing months or years into building it. From there, the bootcamp moved into unit economics — the unglamorous arithmetic of margins, costs, and sustainability that determines whether a business can actually survive past its first year of enthusiasm.

The middle stretch of the programme built toward something founders often approach with more anxiety than any other task: the pitch deck. Participants worked through the structure, narrative, and financial clarity that separates a deck that gets a second meeting from one that does not. Funding insights followed directly, giving entrepreneurs a realistic picture of what investors and government schemes actually look for, and how to position their ventures Accordingly.

The bootcamp’s defining moment arrived on the closing day, when Sh. Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of the IT & Electronics Department, joined in person. His presence signalled something beyond ceremonial support — he engaged directly with participants on how to access government funds and state-backed schemes, converting policy into practical, actionable guidance for founders in the room.

That engagement produced a tangible, lasting outcome: a dedicated Government Help Desk has now been formally established for FICCI FLO members — giving them ongoing, direct access to government opportunities, schemes, and policy benefits that extend well beyond the three days of this bootcamp. This is, in effect, the bootcamp’s most significant legacy — not the sessions themselves, but the permanent institutional channel it created.

The programme closed with a Founder Mindset Reset session, a deliberate final note reminding participants that resilience, self-belief, and the ability to recover from setbacks are as fundamental to startup survival as any spreadsheet or pitch deck. Thirty-three women left Clarks Avadh not just trained, but reset, connected, and ready.
