FLO Bengaluru X Suta Founders

FLO Bengaluru hosted an inspiring and high-impact interaction with Sujata and Taniya Biswas, Co-Founders of Suta Sarees, bringing together 200 members for an afternoon celebrating women-led entrepreneurship, Indian textiles, and the strength of collective leadership.

The founders shared their entrepreneurial journey—from a small, bootstrapped beginning to building one of India’s most loved contemporary saree brands.

Through an open and candid conversation, they offered valuable insights into scaling a purpose-driven business while staying deeply rooted in authenticity, ethics, and craftsmanship.

Key discussions focused on Suta’s commitment to fair wages and sustainable livelihoods for over 17,000 weavers, maintaining quality and emotional integrity during rapid growth, and building a strong community-led brand with 19 retail stores across India.

The founders also highlighted how Suta successfully balances heritage techniques with modern design sensibilities and comfort-first fashion, making traditional textiles relevant to newer generations. The session strongly aligned with FLO’s national initiatives on entrepreneurship, women in leadership, urban skilling, and the promotion of Indian textiles and handicrafts. Members gained practical insights into conscious brand-building, ethical scale, and leadership driven by values.
