Financial Literacy Session- Salary to Savings – Building Financial Confidence

FLO Pune, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Poonam Kochchar, hosted its Financial Literacy session, “Salary to Savings,” for student constables at Daulatrao Jadhav Jail Training College. The session created awareness about financial literacy, responsible money management, and the importance of early savings and investments. The session aimed to equip young constables with practical knowledge on budgeting, SIPs, financial planning, digital banking safety, and building long-term financial confidence. 

Through expert guidance and interactive discussions, the initiative encouraged participants to make informed financial decisions and develop disciplined saving habits for a secure future. The session also helped the attendees build a secure future for themselves and their families after learning crucial financial skills. 

As young professionals entering a demanding and responsible service, financial stability plays a very important role in mental peace, confidence, and overall well-being. Sessions like these equip them with practical life skills beyond academics and training.

Around 225 attendees, including 125 women, benefited from this session, which taught them how to manage their salaries from the beginning of their careers. Also, they were equipped with tips for long-term financial planning and avoiding financial stress, debt traps, and fraud in the digital age.
