FICCI FLO, under the leadership of its 43rd National President, Ms. Puja Garg, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) to launch She Flies – Women Drone Skilling and DGCA Certification Programme. This initiative will focus on empowering women with specialised drone technology skills and creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods.
FICCI FLO and MMF will implement this drone skilling programme across Indore, Dehradun, Pune, Siliguri, Biswanath Chariali and Raipur, in partnership with the YR Gaitonde Medical, Educational and Research Foundation (YRG MERF). Also, DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organisations (RPTOs) will be responsible for providing training to underprivileged women.
Participants will undergo ground-school instruction, simulator training and practical drone flying, followed by assessment for applicable DGCA certification, subject to eligibility and successful completion of prescribed requirements. She Flies will also cover soft skills, career readiness, professional communication, CV preparation, financial awareness and career planning, along with internship and placement linkages.
The skills acquired can open opportunities across agriculture, land mapping, infrastructure inspection, solar surveys, disaster response and public safety, as well as entrepreneurial applications of drone technology. With a financial commitment of ₹29.11 lakh from MMF, the programme is aiming to train around 150 women across six FLO Chapters, with a minimum of 25 beneficiaries from each location to transform a pipeline of skilled and certified women remote pilots.
