YFLO Kolkata, under the leadership of Ms. Ankita Chitlangia, organized an advanced makeup course, titled “Brushstrokes of Hope,” at Apni Kutir to empower women with professional-level bridal and event makeup skills, tailored to the ever-expanding Indian wedding industry. 

The event served as a preview of this specialized training program, offering participants an introduction to advanced makeup application, hairstyling, draping, and client management. Sponsored by the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation, the session aimed to highlight how structured vocational training can open premium career pathways, particularly in the thriving freelance and on-site bridal services sector. 

 The preview underscored how focused skill development not only builds technical expertise but also fosters confidence, independence, and economic mobility for women. With India’s wedding sector being one of the most resilient and lucrative industries, the course equips participants to meet high client expectations in high-pressure environments while ensuring professionalism and creativity.
