FLO Vadodara organised an awareness seminar for breast cancer under its FLO Kavach initiative. Dr. Prutha Patel, Medical Oncologist at Zydus Hospitals, Vadodara, joined the session as the speaker. She often emphasises the importance of proactive health care for women through regular screenings and understanding personal health.
As a part of the FLO Kavach initiative, the session focused on empowering women by addressing key health challenges and promoting overall well-being. Dr. Prutha Patel raised awareness about breast cancer among rural women from Ranu village, offering education on prevention, early detection, and access to free screenings.
In collaboration with Zydus Hospitals, the awareness session was both informative and thought-provoking, providing valuable insights into breast cancer risk factors, self-examination techniques, and the importance of timely screenings. Dr. Patel also highlighted recent advancements in treatment, encouraging women to be proactive about their health.
A total of 200 rural women benefited from this awareness seminar on breast cancer as they received essential health services at no cost. They actively participated by asking insightful questions and showed a strong interest in learning more. To further support the initiative, free breast cancer screening was made available, providing the community with much-needed access to early detection and vital care.
