FLO Amritsar, in collaboration with Hotel Lawrence, hosted the formal launch of The Haunted Glasses, authored by eminent scholar, author, and artist Dr. Indubala Singh, on 1st August 2026 in Amritsar. The event gathered approximately 60 distinguished attendees, including FLO members, academicians, literary enthusiasts, medical professionals, and invited guests traveling from Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi.
Under the leadership of Chairperson Tannya Khanna, the gathering served as a poignant tribute to the life, service, and memory of Respected S.P. Singh, IAS, through a personal literary work authored by his wife. The proceedings celebrated Dr. Indubala Singh’s multi-faceted career as a retired Professor of English, film researcher, Bharatanatyam dancer, documentary filmmaker, and author.
Attendees reflected on her significant contributions to cinema studies—including her internationally recognized research praised by legendary filmmaker Shyam Benegal—and her work in Punjabi literature and theater. The program featured readings, reflections, and discussions emphasizing the role of literature in preserving shared history and inspiring future generations.
By celebrating a scholar whose work spans multiple artistic and academic disciplines, FICCI FLO Amritsar reaffirmed its commitment to promoting intellectual excellence, supporting female authors, and fostering vibrant cultural dialogue within the community.
