Beautiful by Design — The Psychology of Beauty & the Science of Ageing Well

Hotel Clarks Avadh hosted an engaging session on the evening of 7th August 2026, bringing together more than 50 FLO Lucknow members for a conversation that went beyond conventional beauty and wellness discussions. Notably, every member who had confirmed attendance was present, reflecting the strong engagement within the FLO community.

Dr. Divya Arora, Consultant Dermatologist and Aesthetic Physician, began by reframing the idea of beauty. She explored how beauty is not simply an external pursuit, but is closely connected to psychology, self-perception, and the way women experience their identity through different stages of life.

The session then moved into the science of skin ageing. Dr. Arora explained the biological changes that occur as skin ages, the mechanisms behind common concerns, and the difference between interventions supported by clinical evidence and claims driven primarily by marketing.

The psychological dimension remained central throughout the discussion. Members explored how stress, mindset, and self-perception can influence overall wellbeing and skin health, offering a more holistic perspective on ageing.

The evening left members with an important takeaway: ageing well is not solely about skincare or aesthetic treatments, but about understanding the relationship between physical health, mental wellbeing, and self-confidence.

The full attendance was also a meaningful reflection of the trust FLO Lucknow has built within its community. When members commit, they show up — and when that commitment is met with meaningful conversations and expert guidance, it creates exactly the kind of enriching experience the evening delivered.
