In a powerful show of support to strengthen women’s involvement in society and their upliftment, members of FICCI FLO Indore met the Honourable Member of Parliament, Shri Shankar Lalwani ji, and handed over a formal representation, urging the speedy passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023 (Women’s Reservation Bill) in the coming session of Parliament.
Led by Chairperson, FLO Indore, Vandana Gujrati, the delegation included Joint Secretary, Ms.Rachna Mittal, Advocate Nidhi Vaidya, and Advocate Nandini Gujarati. This landmark law would be a historic step to give women more seats in Parliament and State Assemblies and will open new doors for women in politics, increase their participation, and make their contribution to India’s growth even stronger.
The members praised the government’s bold initiative and requested that the bill be implemented without delay. They also stressed that women need proper guidance and support to move forward confidently. The meeting ended on a very positive note, with everyone agreeing that giving women equal opportunities is the right way to build a stronger and more inclusive nation.
