FLO Pune organised “Back to Roots” with the objective of reconnecting participants with India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage through the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata. The session aimed to explore the relevance of these ancient texts in contemporary life and encourage participants to reflect on values such as discipline, self-awareness, duty, resilience, leadership, and purpose.
Led by speaker Paridhi Mangalampalli, a young digital storyteller, the programme sought to create greater awareness among younger generations about India’s cultural and spiritual traditions and inspire them to engage with this heritage in meaningful and relatable ways. Through stories and insights from the Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata, she highlighted the continuing relevance of values such as character, discipline, self-awareness, leadership, resilience, duty and purpose.
Her confidence, clarity, and engaging approach made the session particularly interactive. Members actively participated in the discussion and posed thoughtful questions, leading to meaningful conversations around preserving India’s cultural traditions and passing these values on to future generations.
The session also highlighted how storytelling can serve as an effective medium for making ancient wisdom accessible and relevant to audiences today. Participants appreciated the opportunity to revisit familiar stories from a new perspective and reflect on their application in everyday life.
The event concluded on an inspiring note, with members expressing appreciation for Paridhi’s talent, dedication, and engaging presentation. “Back to Roots” served as a meaningful reminder of the enduring relevance of India’s cultural heritage and the importance of nurturing an intergenerational connection with its wisdom. FICCI FLO Pune Chapter expressed its sincere appreciation to Paridhi Mangalampalli and her family for sharing this enriching experience with the FLO community.
