FLO Mumbai was invited to participate in a high-level government discussion on Advancing Healthcare for Women Police Personnel, held on 23rd October 2026 at Sahyadri Guest House, Mumbai, in the presence of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Smt. Sunetra Pawar Ji. The engagement focused on strengthening preventive healthcare and well-being for women police personnel, recognising their significant contribution to public safety and the demanding nature of their professional responsibilities.
The discussion centred on “Sehat Ki Rakshak,” a healthcare screening initiative by Doctors For You, designed to extend essential preventive health services to women police personnel across Mumbai and Thane. The initiative highlighted the importance of prioritising the health of women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving society. Key areas of discussion included accessible health screening, early detection of health concerns, preventive care, and the need for sustained healthcare support.
FLO Mumbai’s participation focused on exploring how its extensive network, institutional partnerships, and ongoing women’s health initiatives could contribute to expanding healthcare outreach and strengthening collaborative efforts. The engagement provided an important platform for dialogue between FLO Mumbai, the Government of Maharashtra and healthcare stakeholders, creating opportunities to explore meaningful partnerships for advancing women’s health in public service.
The meeting reinforced the importance of ensuring that women police personnel receive the healthcare attention and preventive support they need to remain healthy, resilient, and empowered in their professional roles. This engagement marked a significant step in FICCI FLO Mumbai’s continued efforts to expand its women’s health advocacy through government partnerships and institutional collaboration.
