The Adi Shakti Abhiyan, the Government of Maharashtra’s flagship women empowerment initiative, was officially launched on 5th July 2026 at the G.D. Madgulkar Auditorium in Baramati. FICCI FLO Mumbai is honoured to be associated with this landmark initiative and to support the Government of Maharashtra’s vision of empowering women through education, healthcare, digital inclusion, and grassroots leadership.
The programme marks a significant step towards creating a comprehensive ecosystem for women’s empowerment by integrating government initiatives across healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, leadership, and social development.
The launch showcased several impactful initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women and girls. Under the Two Wheels of Hope initiative, 2,000 bicycles were distributed to girl students across villages in Baramati, enhancing their mobility and access to education. The programme also strengthened healthcare delivery through the distribution of 10 tablets to ASHA workers, enabling greater digital access and improved community outreach. In addition, five STEM laboratories were inaugurated in government schools, providing rural students with access to modern science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.
The programme highlighted the remarkable statewide impact already achieved through the Adi Shakti Abhiyan, including large-scale training of ASHA workers, digital literacy initiatives, life skills development, and capacity-building programmes. These interventions are expected to indirectly benefit more than 8.19 crore citizens by strengthening maternal and child healthcare, preventive health services, disease screening, and community health awareness.
A proud moment for the FLO Mumbai Chapter was being felicitated by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Smt. Sunetra Pawar Ji, Hon’ble MP Smt. Sudha Murty Ji, and Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Swati Maliwal Ji, in recognition of FICCI FLO Mumbai’s contribution and continued partnership in advancing the objectives of the Adi Shakti Abhiyan.
